2021 Apple, Hair, Pillow 280 x 100 x 70 cm Exhibition 'Wissen', Saarländische Galerie, Berlin When I wake up in the morning, I feel drowsy and disoriented. I remember nothing, not well at all. But there is a palpable sense that something has just happened. I wake up, take my fallen hair from the pillow, and try to remember the dream from the night before. Eventually fully awake, the memories of my dreams seem to fade. Dreams cannot be touched, but the imaginary experiences through dreams interact with our knowledge. In the work, the reality of sleep symbolizes that state between slumber and wakefulness, in which we struggle to recall a dream. We gather hair, wild traces of dreams, and try in vain.
